[Recap] SPAM FREE MAPS : RAJKOT

Hello Local Guide Family

Hope you are doing well. Here I’m sharing with you my Map Editing Meetup experience. I hope you like it.Just organized a meet up on Tea post at a very amazing place especially known for Chai pe Charcha. The said place is located on Kalawad Road in the outskirts of Rajkot (Gujarat) Nobody turned up for the Meet-up, So I started alone.

The response from fellow local guides was quite good when I first informed them about this meet up. This concern of spam information on Google maps is really noticeable. Spam images and videos are being contributed on maps to gain rewards on maps. Thi shows how cheap minded they are. We discussed on how seriythis matter is and how it could it affect others, and in order to prevent spamming, we need to edit that spam images. So, this was our little contribution towards the campaign to make Spam Free Maps.

Thanks dear @rajuroyal for sharing your unique campaign.

Usually, I report spams whenever I come across an irrelevant photo or video, but taking it as a campaign is new to me.

“Spam free map” is the desire of all, in whatever way possible.

Dear @IrrPavlova ,

I have reported irrelevant Photos & Videos, even after months they are still not been removed.

Is there any way to know it is under process or flagged as spam?

If there is some Icon (highlight) appears on the Flagged photo, it will be easy for other Local guides to verify it and take it seriously by the contributor to review from his/her end.
