{Recap} Let's Guide Karachi - A Great Day At Lincoln Corner

Hello local guides,
Today this post (The recap post of let’s guide Karachi) will be rewind of a meetup from one of our nobles initiative, that I did alongside my fellow local guides.

Theortically typing, It was a second Meetup at Lincoln corner [Liaquat Memorial Library] but overall, my sixth meetup whuch was the sequel of #letsguide Knowledge Sharing Meetups series.

In this meetup, we addressed alot of queries and discussed all of it.
These are the series of questions we addressed in our meetup;
How to contribute in Google maps?
How the contribution for Google maps will give benifits to people and the world?
How Google maps positively impacting local businesses?
What is the wheelchair accessiblity campaign & #oneaccessibility campaign, and how we can help thousands of people by adding information about Accessibility on Google maps , #Cleantheworld campaign and many other Q/A by attendees.

Throughout my past journey of giving knowledge about this, I had done it all on my own, but this time it was different, as I had been accompanied by my other three wonderful fellow local guides, who sure knew how to do this job.

Its true what they say, the more, the merrier!!

They also highligted the main happenings about the LG program.

I would like to give them a shoutout for all the efforts they did for the meetup, as they played a crucial part in strengthing local guides community and created awareness of many initiatives**. @Bilal_shaikh , @user_not_found & @Hassan_ali30 **

The rendition of the meetup went smooth, as I took the lead and gave an introduction about myself and then handed over the mic to my fellow local guides; Hassan Ali and Bilal Sheikh

About Google maps and local guides connect :
Hassan Ali and Bilal Sheikh started introduction of Google maps and local guides connect. I could sense inquisitivity in the enviroment as they were very eager to contribute for Google maps, because mostly audience had the basic knowledge to use Google maps in thier daily routine life.
Through visual representation, they explained them how to make contributions in Google maps to make it more convenient for millions people of the world to explore.

Following it, how can they use local guides connect forum to learn more, for their unanswered questions and problems regarding Google maps.

People cross questioned them and questioned their personal benefits from this platform.
However, my fellow gave them the answers with the utmost of patience.

Accessiblity :
Now it was my turn to describe and aware people about issues of wheelchair accessiblity arising in my own country and Accessible places are very important for our society.
During meetup, Accessiblity was our main concern to describe. Because as I always mentioned here in Pakistan there are lack of facilities for wheelchair users, and we rarely can see the amenities for differently abled people except hospitals, parks and some restaurants, but mostly they don’t care to make Thier places Accessibility friendly. They must know that wheelchairs Accessible ramps, entrance, seatings, washrooms and elevators are necessary as they are providing facilities to thier other customers or visitors and infact giving their business boost.

Google Maps Lists :
Google maps lists is the most amazing feature by Google maps, and I really enjoyed when I describe how people can make their traveling easy if they creat Google maps lists when they are planning to travel any where. And how the lists are useful for other people if you put some your favourite places with small notes (your own experience) and share it publicly.

Clean the World Project :
My fellow local guides assisted me again to share about clean the world Initiative.
We described about process of recycling, and how much plastic products takes time to expire completely in oceans?

And during this all time what negative effects marine life suffers by the plastic pollution?
By the post and Photos of @ErmesT Toun’s Clean the World Project

We educated them about importance of clean oceans and beaches.

360 Photos & Street View :
Swalay Muhammad, such a amazing person and born teacher, when he started brief about 360 photos , and showed his fantastic Google maps profile with lots of 360 photos , attendees took so much interest and asked many logical questions, as how they can take 360 photos by normal phone if they did not have any proper 360 camera function in their phone.

Outcome of Lincoln corner meetup:
In this knowledge sharing meetup, the attendees were energetic to do something for world. So that session was like a path of leading them, and now many of attendees of this meetup are part of the local guides connect and contributors of Google maps .
