Recap: [In-Person] India, March 02, Shree Simandhar Swami Jain Derasar, Photo Walk - LG10 Meet-up

Dear Local Guides,

Greetings!!

How are you all fellow LGs? Today, I share my first recap of first meet-up, which was held on March 02, 2025.

Yesterday I went to Shree Simandhar Swami Jain Derasar temple for my first meet-up. I was very excited for this. Our main point was a photowalk and unfortunately photography is not allowed in that temple. Ravi and I talked to the security and explained the situation, then in some cases, the security guard allowed us to take photos. By the way, if this was not my Meetup recap, then the title of this post would have been something like this: Accessible Gujarat: Shree Simandhar Swami Jain Derasar, Mehsana (Here is the review).

About Temple
Shree Simandhar Swami Jain Derasar is a Jain temple in Mehsana, Gujarat, India. It’s a popular place for Jain devotees.

The temple has a 12.1-foot statue of Simandhar Swami. It also has a 170-kilogram silver aangi. ~ Mahendra Jain Ji’s reviews on Google Maps.

Accessible Entrance of Temple
While roaming around I went behind the temple and they gave me the best thing and that is the wheelchair ramp. Yes I can say that it should have been in front of the temple, but maybe it was placed here so that it does not affect the beauty of the temple.

Shri Simandhar Swami Jain Temple Trust
There is a drinking water and washroom on the right side of the temple and there is a trust run in the name of the temple at some distance where you can help the temple by donating something.

During this meet-up, @AnmolAadi attended this meet-up and supported me a lot, for which I am very grateful. I also had tea at a stall some distance away from the temple for the “Chai Pe Charcha” section, the story of which you can see here.

Availablity for Accessible :wheelchair:

  • Wheelchair Accessible Entrance :white_check_mark:
  • Wheelchair Accessible Parking :white_check_mark:

How to Reach

  • :bus: Approximately 92 meters from the Bus Stand Mehsana with 5 minutes walking distance.
  • :station: Approximately 1.8 km from the Railway Station Mehsana with 25 minutes walking distance.

What do you think about this place? Please share it in the comments. If you find something wrong in the whole story or want to edit something then you can send me a personal message with article link. I will try to remove or edit it immediately.

Thank you Sir. I tried my best.

Thank you very much, @Gurukrishnapriya ma’am  for your compliment. As for the first meet-up, I am very nervous whether it will happen properly or not. And capturing the photo of the temple was a bigger tension than that.
