The project will focus on seven major objectives:
- Identify dirty locations: Find littering hotspots, overflowing bins, plastic waste, blocked drains, and neglected public spaces.
- Promote public awareness: Educate residents, shopkeepers, tourists and students about cleanliness and responsible waste disposal.
- Encourage citizen participation: Organise cleanliness drives, neighbourhood walks and community awareness programmes.
- Document environmental problems: Collect authentic photographs, videos, location details and observations.
- Report civic issues: Forward verified complaints to the appropriate municipal authorities through official channels.
- Promote sustainable tourism: Encourage visitors to keep monuments, parks, markets, railway areas, riverbanks and tourist destinations clean.
- Measure improvements: Track reported problems, resolved complaints, community participation, and changes in cleanliness over time.
How Local Guides can clean their city
The project should remain non-political, inclusive, transparent, and open to Local Guides from every city.
