Hi guys! We might need to stop this guy on Google Maps called ‘Kieron Finn’. He is posting multiple ratings at once at different locations which actually violates the guidelines. He has posted actual reviews ranging from a year ago to 8 years ago, but he might have been hacked. If you are viewing this, it is highly recommended you click the like button, share this topic and then report the reviews on google maps. Only the ratings though, for example find the location ‘Entrance to Penrith Station Kiss and Ride’ and look for Kieron Finn. Report as many reviews as you can except the actual text only reviews. Because it is so bad, he even got a response from the owner of Tramin Building Supplies where they reported his review and said they are a fake reviewer, despite having some other ratings having responses. He is even almost there getting a Local guide badge, which is disgraceful. This is probably one of the weirdest google review profiles I’ve ever seen.
I’m honestly baffled by this call to action @Revesby
There’s nothing against the rules in even giving ratings to listings on Google Maps.
Do you have a “clear and incontrovertible” evidence that the ratings he gave are not pertaining to a real experience about the Location? As far as I can see he’s adding ratings in a specific area, not randomly in Google Maps, so I can assume that he’s living around there.
Do you mind to share the guidelines where this part is mentioned?
Do you know this person? If so, you can suggest him to take the necessary steps to protect his account, or maybe to choose to make it not visible for his own privacy.
He doesn’t have a badge, the badge is given only when you reach Level 4, and getting one point at time this can be a very long journey.
Myself I report a Lot of bad accounts, and this one is not bad at all
This is an interesting point, @Revesby , especially considering that you started with
“Probably” is not exactly an evidence, it’s just a speculation.
You know, many people think that when a Local Guide hide his profile (like you do) is “probably” because they are posting inappropriate content and they don’t want to disclose it.
Does it mean that you are posting inappropriate content, and based on a “probably” I should report your account too?
Personally I don’t think so
it’s about the profile ‘Kieron Finn’ itself, I have hid my profile because I want to hide myself and be a bit personal from others. The only people who can see my profile with reviews is my friends when they look with me at my tech. I am public on Local Guides Connect, just not Google Maps.
You are perfectly free to hide your profile, @Revesby.
Like others are perfectly free to give only ratings to a business. But as you said that this is against the guidelines, I’m asking you again:
Probably I miss that part in the guidelines, so having a link to refresh my memory can be very helpful
