Please Bring Back the “Preview” Option While Creating a Post 🙏

I just noticed another great improvement while creating a post on Local Guides Connect.

While creating a post, we now get the option to “Create a Topic”, and from the drop-down menu, we can also choose “Create Message.” This is really helpful because we can create both a Topic and a Message from the same place, making the posting process more convenient.

However, while exploring the new posting experience, I also noticed that the “Preview” option is no longer available.

Previously, while drafting a post, we could use the Preview option to see how the post would actually look to others before publishing it. This was especially useful for checking:

Formatting and spacing
Headings and text layout
Images
Links
The overall appearance of the post

I personally found the Preview option very helpful while preparing posts.

My request to the Connect team:
Please consider bringing back the “Preview” option while creating/drafting a post.

The new Topic + Message option is a great improvement. If the Preview option could also be brought back, it would make the overall post-creation experience even better!

Do you also miss the Preview option? What do you think about the new Topic + Message option?

Till the team fix the issue you can switch the writing mode to have a preview directly on the text area

For me, it is still ‘Create - New Topic’ and ‘Create - New Meetup’.

My preview page has also disappeared. I feel it’s important if you are writing a long post and you want to check the flow of it.

Absolutely @SharmaKK ji​. The Preview option is very useful for formatting, especially when using HTML/BBCode to present our posts properly. It helps us check everything before publishing. Hope it comes back soon!
