Similar problem was reported before and resolved:
Now I find similar problem is happening again. Photos attached under many of my previous/recent reviews are missing. But this time the problem seems to only happen to reviews that are already published some time ago, not new reviews or reviews just published.

It’s not the issue you described. I always wait for the uploading process bar to complete before clicking out. Many of my previous reviews were shown to attach the photos when they were published. But now many are gone.

Yes, I also observed this situation. As you mentioned, thia problem is just like the serious problem occured last month, but only happen to reviews that are already published some time ago, not recent reviews.
I cannot imagine how this similar problem could happen again in a short time. It seems that many pictures of even very old reviews are gone.

Can you kindly provide some additional details for the team to better understand the issue?
Are the photos missing from the reviews on your profile only or also from the reviews in the business listing?
Are the photos visible in the photos tab of your profile?
Are the photos missing under the reviews also in your private profile?
Can you kindly provide a link to one of more reviews where the issue is happening?
Can you share some screenshots?
This will make easier for the team to understand the issue

Thanks for follow up. Here under please some more input:
(1) The photos missing happens not only to reviews in my profile but also to my reviews in the business/place page
(2) The photos remain publicly visible in my photos section of my profile
(3) In private mode, all photos attached under my reviews are visible to me

I also found that this issue also happens to some quite older reviews, such as those published a few years ago.

I just found something new: If I click the link provided above and access the review via desktop browser then the photos are visible (publicly). But by accessing either my profile page or that business’s Google page the photos under the same review are not visible.
This is what I see, partly confirmed by you, @ivanos

Thanks. Regarding to the places/reviews shown in my screen shots provided, I now find that the status becomes quite random. Sometimes photos of some reviews are visible. Sometimes they are not. This situation could be found in the similar problem reported a few months ago.
By the way, would you like to check on your own reviews to see if you also encounter same problem?

Yes, I have the same issue on the profile. For many reviews the photos appear only when I open the review from my profile, while in the listing the review appears without any photos, while the photos are visible on the “photos” section of the listing

Yeah… this is a chronic problem on Maps that’s never been fixed or explained simply to users. Theres no quick fix, unfortunately. Report it as many times as you can, cross your fingers, wait for days or weeks on end (no one really knows and all responses are different). Or, just keep doing what you’re doing — e.g., flag it in the chat for a case-by-case review. Why that’s the system, idk? Seems inefficient. But just be ready to do it all over again the next time it happens

It was fixed last month. It’s just that it happened again. Let’s hope this time we won’t encounter the same problem at least in a certain period of time.

I just checked again. There are still at least five reviews, published over past one to one and half years, with this issue. Seems the fix is not thorough enough this time. May you help to ask the team to further work on it. Thanks.
Perhaps the batch run is not completed yet. Will check again after a few hours and update status.

It seems that the same problem appears again. Just like last month, all photos under new posts are missing again.
Not only me, I checked all the reviews under some famous spots like British Museum and found that the all pictures under newly posted reviews during last 3 hours were missing. I also checked my active friends, and their pictures under recent posts were missing too.
Not sure whether this is temporary situation or getting worse. Actually the problem is the third time during one month.
