I am pretty new to the whole “local guides connect” so here is my first post.
If you have ever wondered, when travelling to Swakopmund, where the most amazing photographic spots are then fear no more as I share where my few favourite places are.
The Jetty is quite a favourite especially at sunset because you can play around with your camera and try to capture it in different ways, whether a plain sunset photo or long exposure, it is always an amazing place to photograph.
A second favourite is the dunes outside of Swakopmund. You can take photos, like I did, with a drone or from the ground. The sand always feels amazing but be warned it does get EVERYWHERE! The most beautiful photos to take, is the sunsets, no matter where in Swakopmund you are, but you can only capture the perfect sunsets when the weather allows it. It can get really misty in Swakopmund and super cold.
So when you live here or you’re planning to visit Swakopmund soon, it’s not just these photographic hot spots, there are waaaay more things to take pictures of, like the Lighthouse or the Crystal Gallery in town.
