This issue has already been reported by other Local Guides and escalated to the relevant team.
Yes there is a limit on how many photos we can attach to a review.
The marked number can reach max 40 or 50. I don’t remember exactly as I strive to only upload one good photo (my best one) to each place.

Thanks for sharing that topic, @MAP333. I’ve already responded there and am waiting for the Local Guides’ confirmation that they’re experiencing the same issue. 
@MortenCopenhagen Oh, that’s good to know that the limit can reach 40 or 50. I usually add up to 10 photos. My thought is that if we upload only one photo, others may not get the complete idea of the place. To give an overview, sometimes multiple photos are needed (just my perspective). Not everyone checks the photos under the “Photos” tab directly.

Update on my post:
Out of the 15 photos I uploaded today, only 2 got published while the rest still show “upload pending”. It looks like the issue is slowly fixing itself, but I’m still curious why this happens—so we can avoid it in future uploads.
Oh, I’ve also seen multiple posts about this issue today. So it definitely looks like a common problem, and hopefully rectification will happen soon.

I’m facing an issue with uploading photos to Google Maps. Today, I tried adding some new photos. After selecting the exact location and clicking the upload button, the process completed, but the pictures didn’t appear on my profile. I attempted multiple times with both the same and different photos, but none of them were successfully uploaded.
Could anyone please help me resolve this issue?

@Google think we can take issues like these^ seriously sometime soon? It’s the #1 issue on the platform. The lack of real-time feedback is astonishing

Hi @AkshayMee does those photos are not reflecting on your profile in the photos section or it is not reflecting on Google Maps. Let me tell you even for both the cases sometimes Google takes time to process, even it happens with me when I upload too many pictures or upload pictures of a far place which I clicked maybe a month ago.
If you don’t violates any policies then don’t worry. Just look at this post and confirm is it the same issue you’re facing?
It will be even more helpful if you can provide screenshots of what you are actually facing.

I faced a similar issue with photo visibility on Google Maps back in April. In my case, it got resolved automatically after about 3 weeks.
It could be a connection problem.
Please share a screenshot of any error message you get
Es kommt ab und zu vor @AkshayMee dann wird auch der übliche Ladevorgang nicht angezeigt, die Bilder verschwinden einfach.
Ich lade die Bilder nach einer gewissen Zeit erneut und dann funktioniert es richtig.
Are you referring to My Contributions → Photos, @AkshayMee? Normally, I see the posted photos within less than a minute, but there was at least one case, when I didn’t see it until the next morning.
The best thing to do, is to watch at the desktop browser, press refresh several times and be patient. I do not recommend to upload again too soon, since it mostly ends up with duplicate media.
