The last two days i have uploaded about 8 photos/videos. Not one has gone public. They are not even listed under the ALL, BY YOU, or LATEST categories. Its as if they are not being registered. Anyone else? Any thoughts?

on Aug 11, I posted 44 photos to 7 places. They are all public, only one of them didn’t show up under All, By You and Latest, but is public anyway and can be seen under Menus.
However, I noticed for Monday and today, there were extremely few updates of views in total. So, it seems something is changing in the background.
@StevenBerlin ; I added 26 photos this past week, with 2 or 3 photos almost every day. Most of them are public.

Are the photos visible in your public profile?
I can see only two photos dated Aug 2025, while the previous ones are from July
I see you are posting for places in the USA.
If so, if the photo is not published, you will not get the warning signal that you can see when a photo posted in a Location inside the EU is not published.
In this case you should check your profile in Incognito mode first, to see if the photo is publicly visible
If not, you can appeal by using this form: Account investigation for contributions not visible on Google Maps

8 photos are visible to me. None of the ones you posted in your screenshot are part of these 8. I just posted one more, and tgat is not even visible to me. Yes, posting in US

The photos that I shared with you are the most recent on your “public” profile
My screen is the same as yours. When logged in incognito mode. This btw happened it seems after i deleted several photos that had zero views. I am very upset by this.
Ok. This makes no sense at all to me. When i use my link to find my profile, here is what i see. [Shows new photos]
Now if i click the link that says show all photos, they disappear!!!
If i just go my normal profile, and click see all photos, the 8 photos all appear.
Still, none of them are public. I submitted that form. Any chance one of you mods can forward this as well? Since, i am bad as you with tech stuff. I dobt want to be locked out from uploading photos!

Sorry to continue this dead end, but i just uploaded a photo and it appears to have gone public. The other 8 are still hidden. No reply back from google yet. I will include a link, or just visit my page and let me know if you see the photo on maps. Its called brunks.

You will not receive a reply. When the check is completed the photos will be visible again. It may takes several weeks.

Why “sorry” Steven? It is the purpose of this thread! Anyway, I do see your photo too.
Your picture and the others on that listing reminded me to another change, I did notice only earlier this morning:
Not only one, but several of my “semi hidden” photos suddenly showed views. Most, if not all, were pictures of restaurants’ menu list. Watching at one of those listings, I still didn’t find the photo under “By You” or any other tab after clicking the banner photo.
However, scrolling a bit down on the information page, you find “Menu and highlights”:
Clicking the button “Speisekarte” (engl. menu) at the bottom of the leftmost thumbnail, you come to this page:
And this is the only place, I found my photo on third position, which finally was viewed 17 times, 267 days after posting!
The same happened here, where my photo appears first under the “Menu” tab.

Thx for the replies. One more follow up question which is actually quite important to me.
Given the fact, my last photo uploaded yesterday went public, is it possible it was just a glitch when i uploaded those 8 two days prior? This is why i ask and how to proceed. Should i wait for those 8 to see if they go public before posting? Or continue on? Or, should i delete those 8 and repost them, thinking it might have been a glitch.
I ask these questions since i do a lot of photography and want to continue uploading photos, but, if i was shadow banned or w/e its called, i take a chance on further damage. But i dont want to sit doing nothing for 3 weeks hoping those 8 go public. Ok rambling off.
Thoughts on this 3 part question?
If you ask me @StevenBerlin, I would continue posting new photos, but keep an eye on those 8. I don’t think, deleting those, is a good option, but others might have a different opinion on that.
@StevenBerlin, I agree with @WilfriedB’s views; I think deleting them is not a good idea. Keep posting new photos, but watch those 8 closely.

We all have hidden photos. As you appealed already the photos will be most probably released, on the meantime I don’t see an issue nor a risk in continuing to contribute
@StevenBerlin same thing happened to me, glad I happened to notice this post. For the 11th-13th inclusive only 3 out of 14 photos received views and out of 14 videos there was zero views. On the 14th I only posted 1 video because I wanted to figure out what was going on and it received views. Yesterday the 15th contributions seemed back to normal.
I don’t know if this was a North American server issue or what. Like you I checked latest and under ME but it wasn’t conclusive. I checked all under " incognito " and there was nothing showing under latest from me.
I have deleted a couple and will repost and wait a few days to check the rest.

Tracking all my photos, I noticed in the mornings of 8/12 and 8/14 an extremely low percentage of changes, i.e. only 0.9% resp. 0.11% of all my photos experienced an increased number of views. Normally this varies daily between 5% and 12%.
Another interesting thing I noticed in the morning of August 13th:
Three of my photos posted in February 2022, suddenly became hidden, but instead of “Unknown Place” it showed the numeric coordinates (28.647890, 180.00000) when watching under May Contributions. Clicking those twice showed the correct point on the map as “Geo feature”, but the original POI “Parco Nazionale del Vesuvio” could not be found anymore.
A day later, my photos were no longer hidden, but still referring to the Geo feature.
Yesterday, the 16th of August, I noticed the POI along with my pictures and many others’ media and reviews is online again.
So the bottom line (IMHO): Do not delete hidden media - at least not too soon, unless you are very well aware it was rejected for a proper reason (e.g. visible face, duplicate … etc).
