Panama City, Panama

When I tell people I am going to Panama, they always ask, “Florida?”. I always find myself explaining that Panama is an actual country. I describe its location by mentioning the Panama Canal and how that is the only way to go from the Atlantic to the Pacific without having to sail way down under. I also share that it once had a Trump Tower, but because of the loss of revenue in 2018, the owner fought to terminate the Trump Organization’s contract and won. Now the beautiful, sail-shaped hotel is listed as the JW Marriott. I also share things about the culture, the people, the food, and the music. The most spoken language is Spanish, but don’t worry, most people speak English as well. Panama is a place to retire and if you haven’t reached that point in life yet, you must visit… at least once! You won’t be disappointed! Nos vemos!
