About a month ago, I went to Pareshnath hill with a few of my friends for a trekking trip. We reached the base of the hill around 1:30 at night. We thought everything would be closed at that hour, but to our surprise, a few shops were still open. From there we bought sticks for trekking and enjoyed hot cups of tea together.
With the cold mountain breeze and the silence of the night around us, that tea felt truly special. Later, the shopkeepers told us that they stay awake late every night because many trekkers begin their journey from 2 AM.
This experience perfectly reflects the idea behind the “
Night Star Challenge.” The small businesses and shops that stay awake to serve night wanderers are like hidden stars in the dark. By adding their details to the map—hours, visibility, photos, and reviews—we can help countless travelers and locals. Just like that cup of tea became an unforgettable memory in the middle of the night, this challenge aims to bring those hidden night gems into the spotlight…..

* No daytime photos are allowed—focus solely on visual quality under low-light conditions.

Post the direct Google Maps link to the ‘Night Star Spot’ you found.

If the late-night food stall, all-night pharmacy, or essential service center is missing from the map, add it immediately.
* Note: Adding a place using the precise GPS location from the site significantly increases the speed and likelihood of approval.
- Update Hours and Review
Ensure the all-night operating hours are accurately represented on the map.
* Verify and correctly update the Business Hours to confirm that the location is open past 10 PM until morning.
