New "Answers" Tab on Google Maps

I noticed a new ‘Answers’ tab has appeared on Google Maps today on my desktop chrome browser on iMac, in addition to the existing ‘Contribute’, ‘Reviews’, ‘Photos’, and ‘Edits’ tabs. Below the tab, it displays POIs that I’ve recently reviewed. Has anyone else seen this?

Yes @PrasadVR , this is newly introduced cool tab on desktop. This is yet to be seen on android mobile phone though.

This way we can now know that where all we have contributed by answering simple yes/no questions to help others. Earlier it was impossible to get to know about this the way it was available for Q&A.

Thanks for tagging.

I just checked on my windows pc with the last version of chrome, and I also see this “answers” tap on the maps.google.com website (living in Belgium). It’s a pitty you can’t answer questions by using your pc, but now you can see when you answered questions about several poi’s.

@KattyGeltmeyer I think we can delete your review from here. They might want us to reconfirm it. Thanks for reading my post and confirming that you have also seen.

@Annaelisa It looks like it’s not yet rolled out on smartphones.

Yes, I can see it. And I think it is good to have a new tab for these kind of responses. But I think “Answers” or even “Responses” do not represent our Yes/No/Don’t know answers to the system questions for checking the fact.

Interesting: I also have it on Chrome~~, but not in Firefox on the same Windows 10 PC.~~

Correction: I have it in Firefox too. The trick is: the tab bar needs to be moved to the left in order to see the new tab! The strange thing is, I do see places where I did respond questions, but not the questions and answers. So what is the point …? There is a trash can button, but what would it delete? All responses I gave for that place or just the most recent one(s) …?

@Amiran We can delete your review here under Answers, they might ask us to verify it again. Thanks for reading my post and offering your views.

@WilfriedB , It’s very interesting to see your observation. Thanks for reading my post and doing further check on Chrome and Firefox as well.

@PrasadVR I just checked via my Edge browser running Windows 10, and it’s not there yet. It may also depend on how often an LG performs that type of contribution. Rare for me, although I’m not clear from your screenshot if this relates to Q&A (only 34 on record) or Answers (I have a massive18,101).

You’re right @PrasadVR

I got it. These are answers to the system questions on question cards.

Nice to have a separate section for it to delete our answers. I know many users response to some questions wrongly and previously they had not a direct method to delete their answers.

Hello @tony_b did you see my comment, you need to slide the tabs bar to the left? I just tried it also on Edge:

Yes, you’re right @Amiran . I’ve experienced that issue. Sometimes we might provide incorrect answers, and previously there was no way to rectify them. With this new feature, we can now review and correct our responses. Thanks for sharing your insights. Edit: You can view your review under the ‘Answers’ tab. A new ‘Edit your review’ button has been added at the end of your review, allowing you to make changes.

@PrasadVR reg.: "With this new feature, we can now review and correct our responses. "

Are you sure? I only saw the name of the place, but not individual response. So, it seems, you can only delete all responses you gave to that place …?

Hope your comment will help @tony_b to find the ‘Answer’ tab. Thanks for the help.
