My visit to Ross Hill Church in Visakhapatnam, India

Ross Hill Church is a historical icon in Visakhapatnam. It is located on a hill in the port area of Old Visakhapatnam city, about 10 km from the RTC Bus Complex. The church holds significant historical and cultural value.

In 1867, a British local judge, Monsieur Ross, built a bungalow on this hill. Later, a chapel was constructed, which underwent renovations over time and eventually became the Ross Hill Church.

The church is now a famous religious site and a popular tourist destination, known for its breathtaking views from the hilltop. It is easily accessible by car, and private transport options are available to reach the spot. Ample parking spaces, a small tea shop, wash rooms and accessible ramps are available at the church. The church is partially wheelchair accessible. It is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., with no entry fee and free parking.

I had the opportunity to visit this place as a tourist a few days ago, and it was truly a memorable experience.

I’ve chosen to share this topic about Ross Hill Church today, on Christmas Day.

Wishing all my LG friends a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year filled with joy and success!

Cheers!
