My most interesting thing as a local guide as a architectecture lover: visit Switzerland🇨🇭

Hi, I am Marco de Groot and let me tell you about my travels. One of my unforgettable years was 2018 when I traveled a lot over Europe. My most favorite trip was discovering Switzerland ??

I am a huge fan of contemporary architecture and Switzerland has so much to offer (besides mountains, nature, clear skies and their famous chocolate?)

As always I prepare my trips using Google Maps to pin point the most beautiful locations.

We landed on Zurich where they just opened a beautiful new business and VIP lounge.

After reaching out, I was allowed to take photos there and show you how it looks on the inside.

I even got a tour of the premises and got to learn about the private exit where the limousines drive the VIP guests to their airplane!

But first we got scavenger-hunt like directions to the entrance, because you would easily walk by if you didn’t know what to look for. Would you believe this is the entrance?

We weren’t sure, but after walking through some corridors we were greeted by the friendly staff of the VIP lounge who led us to the beautiful designed lounge, with as centerpiece the bar, with behind that the on-demand a la carte star restaurant!

The corridor to the private exit I was talking about, no thirsty plane rides for the rich-and-famous ?

Next stop was taking the punctual train to the city center where I met the rest of the group and we got going to the reason this trip is still my favorite: The library of law from the Zürich University. Designed by Santiago Calatrava. He came up with an ingenious idea. To suspend the whole library inside the old building.

One of the photos I made there got over 100.000 views on Google maps!

I met so many kind people, visited a lot of fine restaurants and saw may buildings. I will be back!

Here is my top 9 of Zurich.

Thanks for reading, let me know if I should share more travels here!
