This is my first post on Local Guides, so I thought I would make it about my village, Lymm. It’s a small village in the North West of England with about 12k residents. It’s such a beautiful place with a dam, duck pond, multiple churches and a canal running through it.
I’m originally from Liverpool, which is a huge city by comparison. I moved here about 10 years ago after spending the first 10 years of my career travelling the world. If any of you are ever in the area drop me a message and I’ll give you a tour of our lovely village and it’s never ending supply of pubs!

Hi Kev!
Thank you for sharing about your lovely village, Lymm. It looks so peaceful and beautiful, and your photo is amazing! I’ve never been to the UK, but your post makes me interested to explore such villages one day. I’m from Saudi Arabia, and I also love discovering hidden gems and nature spots around me. Thank you for inspiring us with this post!

Welcome to the community @KevParkin … amazing picture
Welcome to Connect and congratulations on your first post @KevParkin. I agree with those before me, you’ve shared a great photo of your little village. Like the tips given by @NareshDarji here, you’ll learn a lot on Connect about being a Local Guide. For example not falling for the mistake of adding duplicate or near duplicate photos which is a no no, and not adding the same photos to different places of interest which is an even bigger no no. Yes such practices help earning points and climbing up the Local Guide levels but they can also lead to higher risk of being suspended from the Local Guides program altogether.
This looks picture perfect
@KevParkin
Can you also include the Google Maps link to the places so that local guides visiting England can get there easily?
A warm welcome to Connect
