My account seems frozen

Hi I have had problems this last week.
I just posted a bunch of reviews & the views on photos started to glitch & go to zero.

now it seems my account is frozen with no new views

I tested by adding a new review. It started to get views and then went to zero.
I went to the main page of my review & it shows a different amount lower reviews. See attached circled amounts.

Hello @HulkRogan

since earlier this week, there is a problem for many, if not all local guides that views for photos are not shown correctly. So far, I did not ready anybody complaining about the views for reviews, but it might be the same cause anyway.

Thanks for letting me know. I appreciate the quick response
I was on a roll and trying to write more reviews and it costs me time & money to support the businesses I am reviewing. Trying to get to 100 reviews. I generally buy something at each place I go to.

I wasn’t sure how to report info but I have a bunch of screen shots

@Joan_L Thanks for the tag.

I’m afraid this is a bit different from the ongoing issue with the counting of photo views. @HulkRogan reported to also have issues with reviews. And nobody else mentioned reviews as also being affected by the views issue. So @HulkRogan will probably need to check for other reasons for why his reviews are hidden. As this can be pretty complicated to figure out I would recommend we wait until after the photo view issue has been fixed.

Apparently, my view count and stats screen that shows my progress is completely gone. I’m used to seeing what’s in the previous graphic, but now I only see a general number that doesn’t show my progress.

Does anyone else have the same problem?

in the discussion thread, mentioned above about the ongoing problem with photo views, some local guides also reported the graphic disappeared. I cannot tell by myself, since I never really used it. Please see this thread.

I encountered the same situation as well.

Thanks for letting me know….anyone else see any progress or hear anything?
How is it now?
My views are still frozen in time. Been a strangely long time for a bug at Google.

How about

Status for the photo view counter issue

Not as sexy and easy to read as I would like.

It needs to be in the 16x9 wide format to show nicely on the index pages.

my account is still frozen and I have not heard from Google or anyone else that can fix the problem.

I keep testing and checking for changes

I would appreciate if some can help me

I’m not sure if it’s personal or a google and I have been waiting for a few weeks.

I keep getting automated messages from google to add more pictures and my account is doing great and helping people and then respond to automated prompts and add pictures and review a as requested and the information is registered as if it is going to be posted and there but nothing happening with the views.
the community seems to have similar issues and I am not sure how or if they have been corrected

i would appreciate a tech or someone that could help me fix the problem. If i am doing wrong what is it and how do I fix it. ?

@HulkRogan there is nothing you or any other local guide can do and complaining doesn’t help, we just have to wait.

This is neither a service nor a product, we are paying for. Nor did Google “guarantee” nor provide any statement at any time, to keep this working nor specifying any time frame within any potential problems would be solved.

But it is not truer saying “nothing happening with the views.” Several others, including myself did report that views are increasing. Extremely slow and randomly, though. We only know, Google is aware and working on it.

Please see this (quite long) thread. @MortenCopenhagen updated the first comment of that thread several times and promised, to do so again, as soon as he learns more!

Sad, but these are the facts. :disappointed_relieved:

Hi,
I also have the same issue:

  1. No progress window anymore (I hope it is just for a while)

  2. No photo views is counting

  3. No video views is counting

  4. Also it doesn’t even show the day when it was uploaded (like today, two days ago, etc) - It took around one to two weeks to show when it was uploaded.
    All this freezing happened around the 7th of February 2024
