Hey, everyone! I am sharing my best mobile click from my last visit to MP. ?
This place is Ram Ghat, Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. ?
One of the prime tourist attractions of the city of Ujjain, Ram ghat is located on the banks of the Shipra river, where the Shipra aarti is held every day.
Ujjain is considered the Greenwich of India due to the fact that the first meridian of longitude passes through it. According to the Indian astronomers, the Tropic of Cancer passes through the picturesque city of Ujjain. The historical Ujjain is an ancient city of central India, in the Malwa region of Madhya Pradesh.
In the evening, you can visit the ghat to participate in the aarti pooja. It is a heavenly sight when lamps are lit and prayers are sung by the ghat. This ghat is also famous for its Kumbhmela. During the mela, you can see thousands of devotees taking a holy dip in the river and paying respects to the god.
Historical Context: Famous for Kumbh Mela and an ancient Bathing ghat. Pro Tip: Watch the evening Shipra aarti
I just randomly clicked these two pictures and hopefully it was dusk time. So, I edited only some colors and saturation and made sure that the click looks more real.
I’m back now but have wondered where you disappeared too @TravellerG . Truly I was going to send the search party out to look for you, well a pm at least. Even @Kunjan811 has pm’ed me several times but nothing from you so I thought maybe you were in lock down as I am now because of this terrible virus. The whole world is now in lock down even with Google Maps I have had to stop contributing place creations and photos from my trip earlier this year. I added many but they all just sit pending so I stopped. Yes I can understand that you would be helping other LGs with their CL 2020 application. As mentioned in my post here, I found many LGs that made mistakes with their application and I tried to help as many as I could and because of this issue I suggested this change for future CL events. Stay safe and well.
