Meetup Details:
Date: Sunday, 21st April 2024.
Time: 10 am
Duration: 1 hr.
Where to Meet: Online or outside the ticket counter.

Agenda:

  1. Meet and greet.
  2. Introduction to the LG Connect program.
  3. Accessibility Check at the palace.
  4. Photo walk.
  5. Share tips and tricks about Google Maps.
  6. Discuss new features of Google Maps.
  7. Share experiences using Google Maps.

This event is open to all the local guides from Kolhapur, India, and globally.

Yes, you got it right Bhai :blush: Kolhapur Chappal is famous there.

They are very tough and durable, but now their popularity is decreasing because fewer artisans are available and also newer softer materials are available for shoes and sandals.

Wowww…that’s an amazing surprise…Kolhapur is my native place. And thanks for using Palace photo clicked by me. I am very much interested to attend in person. Let me see how that can be arrange for me. I wish you all the best and you are doing for great cause. Thanks for sharing @TusharSuradkar

Yes, you are the first one that comes to my mind, dear @Rohan10 when we talk about Kolhapur.

The meetup is yet to be approved so I waited till then to update you :blush:

If you could attend it in person - that would be superb

We will go by car on Saturday.

So even if you reach Pune by Saturday morning, we can comfortably go in my car - just 3 of us are there + you :blush:

Firstly, I sincerely appreciate for these group efforts for physical Meet-ups…

I sincerely pray and wish that this grand mission be highly successful.

I humbly submit a suggestion:

If possible, the introduction by LG’s can be video recorded (a tripod can help a lot) so that we can view the video and get acquainted more with them - their faces will become more familiar to all of us.

Though remotedly, hope to actively participate in this meet-up on a trial basis…

I’m a Level 10 LG from Bangalore…

I would like to suggest you two important points:

If you don’t TAG, the other LG won’t get any “Notification” that you have responded to.

How to TAG: Simply by typing the symbol @ before the User Name of an LG (as I have done above, to you), you can send a notification (TAG) to the other member. Ex: if you need to TAG me, then type @ followed by TravellerG - then I will get a notification - for more details, click 'Here’.

Also…

Where to find your “Notifications”?

  1. Log in to www.localguidesconnect.com.

  2. On the home page, at the right top, you will find your “DP Photo”

  3. Touch/Click on it.

  4. You will get 3 Icons: the Bell icon is the Notifications.

  5. Touch/Click on the “Bell” icon to open the Notification page.

  6. Here you can see the Taggings, Kudos received and the conversations.
