Love is in the Air & Reviving the Art of Store-front Photo Walk ♥️

Hy Local Guides,

Love is in the air and we love taking store-front photos of a business. Post is in the Love is in the Air (and on the Map) Challenge with @TusharSuradkar’s ‘I  Sign’ series.

Tushar’s Reviving the Art of Storefront Photowalk Meet-up Challenge has been helpful for his ‘I  sign’ series as many stores have I  sign boards in front of them. His series also helped in a way to capture store front photos that local guides have uploaded as part of the Challenge.

Some storefront photos I captured with I  sign

Mumbai Haji Ali, Falooda shop in Mall of Travancore with I  Falooda sign.

Big Belly Momos in Vanross with I  Momos Sign (place added to the Maps by me)

Use of taking Storefront Photos for Local Guides

  • Accessibility like wheelchair accessible :wheelchair: and age-friendly entrance can be shown.
  • How the shop looks can be shown to other local guides in Google Maps.
  • If your photo got featured as a first photo or in the first 10 photos in a business profile, more views for your photo.
  • If the business has a new sign board or has an update on their physical store, uploading Store front photos through ‘updates’ with captions can earn you 10+5 points.
  • Adding captions like Accessibility in the Store-front photo can also earn you extra points.

From my experience in the last Photo walk Meetup, most of my store front photos are featured when I upload it in less than 15 minutes. Photos shown above have more probability to get featured than angled storefront photos.

Share any Store front photos of yours that got featured and tell us about the experience. Also you can share the “I  sign” you see in front of the store (must have store front view) in the comments.
