The meetup on February 5th went quite well @IshantHP_ig - it was not specifically #LGCTM, more tips & tricks in general, where I met a few former co-workers who tuend out to be LG as well. A Recap will be published in the course of the coming week. Right now I have just started a new type of #LGCTM posts: case studies, so that is taking up my attention now.

@LGCTM I would like to bring into your notice that i tried to clean the maps from duplicates and inactive businesses but i am not able to do so every time i get not applied, kindly look into below scenario.

It’s possible that the business that you are sharing has more than one store and probably that’s why your edits are not getting through.

No Business is not having more than 1 store they have created within 1 km of range. @KlaudiyaG

I have checked physically also all the business listed are of same name and they have not uploaded photo of their shopfront also phone number and website are same. those businesses are created with intention of SEO and covering entire region. to get more leads.

@aLiveformaps it is indeed very unlikely that they really have shops in all those places. Let me tag Google Moderator, @DeniGu , so she can have a look.
Just to make sure you know: Connect Moderators, like me, are just local guides like yourself, whereas Google Moderators are Google employees, who can of course escalate problems to the relevant teams at Google. So, if you come across cases like this, where we as local guides are not really able to do something ourselves (due to, e.g. the sheer quantity of it, as in this case), the best practice is to create a separate post here on Connect and tag a Google Moderator.

Aqui na minha cidade percebi que diversos empreendimentos são adicionados, depois eles vão à falência, e resta o trabalho para os Local Guides.
A maior dificuldade é quando o empreendimento não fica perto de casa. É trabalhoso ir até o local e confirmar se ele ainda existe.
Mas suas dicas são preciosas para quem gosta de ajudar a atualizar o nosso Google Maps.
