Koyikkall palace

Today I visited the koyikkall palace situated in nedumangad, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
But i was not allowed to enter inside the palace as it was Monday. On mondays there is no entry inside the palace.
The outside view was just beautiful and i thought that i will share it

It is said that the palace was built on the 16th century for Umayamma rani, she was the queen of Venad royal family between 1677 and 1684.The palace is a two-storied structure with a gabled roof, wooden balconies, and intricately carved wooden pillars.
Now the palace is maintained by the Kerala State Department of Archeology and also hosts folklore and a numismatic museums. This palace houses Asia’s biggest Folklore museum.

Sounds like you had a lovely visit to Koyikkall Palace, even though you couldn’t go inside. It’s a shame about the Monday closure, but the outside views must have been stunning.
