I finally made it to the Koyikkall Palace this morning! It was my first time actually stepping inside. I was happy to buy a ticket for entry, and the price was very reasonable.
The ticket rates were as follows:
* Adults: ₹30
* Children: ₹10
Photography -10/-
Videography not allowed❌
Footwears are not allowed inside the palace ![]()
Parking facility provided ![]()
Once inside, there was so much to see! The palace houses a great collection of old historical artifacts and fascinating coin collections. I absolutely loved the experience and felt it was completely worth the money.
The tunnel within the Koyikkal Palace is a significant feature, leading to Karippur in Nedumangad. It was believed to have been used during wars. Now, it’s no longer open to the public.
While the palace isn’t fully wheelchair accessible, I was impressed with the staff’s dedication. I noticed a few wheelchairs there and asked them about it. They explained that while there are steps on the first floor that aren’t wheelchair accessible, they are happy to assist visitors who have difficulty walking. Their supportiveness and willingness to help were truly impressive. They were very informative, even providing information before I had a chance to ask.
Since this was my first visit inside the palace, I’ve linked my initial post/story about my last visit to the place below! If you haven’t seen it yet, please take a moment to check it out and share your thoughts in the comments.
