maybe a lot of travellers has been here but Gyeongbokgung is usually closed at 6 pm but they hold some night event at some seasons (usually summer and Fall)

Night Gyangbokgung is something special and different from normal Gyangbokgung. night darkness and lights make the palace be more beautiful

Let’s see Night Gyeongbokgung!

(Night Gyeongbokgung)

  • Admission fee
  • 3000 won

this event usually is held at September but it could be changed so you should check up before

How to enter it?

Actually, entering Gyangbokgung is hard in the night because of only people who got a reservation are allowed to enter the palace so maybe it could be hard for travellers who can’t understand Korean and don’t know how to get a reservation via the internet from abroad

Then how can I enter there?

don’t worry, Seoul association has noticed that so travellers who came from abroad and older 65 can buy ticket their ticket stand without any reservation (even tour guide or your friend is Korean he or she can buy a ticket with you too as a guide ) and they will check up you are a foreigner or not so you have to bring your passport!

Thank you for reading!

so a lot of people try to enter the Night Gyangbokgung because There is an entry restriction

Hello @RoRoPo ,

Thank you for sharing these beautiful pictures with us. Korean Royal Palaces are definitely a must-visit for any tourist that goes to Seoul, and Gyeongbokgoong is my favorite one of all of them. I really like the night pictures you took, because you get to see the contrast of the traditional palace buildings and the metropolitan area behind. Also the picture of the two girls in hanboks is amazing. ^^

By the way, just wanted to let you know that when giving a link to an external website, your post might get caught by our spam filters, so I recommend sharing a google maps link instead.

P.S. I am relabeling your post with the Travel label, since it fits better.

@LilyanaZ Thank you for your service  and reply about my question!

And I am so glad you like my post!

You are very welcome @RoRoPo .

By the way I noticed that you wrote the name of the palace as Gyangbokgung and just wanted to ask about that, since I think that when transcribed in English it should be Gyeongbokgung?
