All I have to say is finally jeddah have fabulous airport that it deserves. Just Jewel in and of itself.
The new jeddah Airport is huge and well designed. the airport itself would be one of the most beautifully-designed airports in the middle east, with the sound-breaking ceiling, incredible space for passengers to walk around in, and plenty of shops post-security. The staff working in shops and restaurants, whether pre-security, or post-security, are, for the most part, nice, helpful and respectful. There are more security screening counters for transit than the old airport so the queue is shorter. The signs are clear. Baggage pickup is very efficient. the organization at this airport is very logical… There are plenty choices of shopping and dinning. the toilets are clean. No water on the floor, paper available . Several smoking rooms are available with ventilation. Plenty of seats available. the staff very polite and helpful. Security was polite and professional. The attitude of some people from airport staff leaves something to be desired. All in all, I’d say the new terminal is a big improvement from the end one. Only inconveniences are the large distances between gates. And there is not free Wi-Fi
Hello @ahmad_megahid
Welcome to Connect. Thanks for sharing the post about the new airport in Jeddah and congratulations for the new opening.
We are so pleased to know more about the new airport, so I hope you could add more photos of the airport and add the link of the Google Maps here, so that other Local Guides could find more information and photos about the airport.
And oh, about the free WiFi. It is one of the most important thing that travellers anticipate the most when while waiting for the flight. I wonder will they consider to provide free WiFi in the near future?
