Jerome Arizona by Darren Chaker

By Darren Chaker - During my most recent trip to Sedona last month during the Blood Moon, I ventured up to the old mining town of Jerome, Arizona. Jerome is etched in the side of a mountain sitting above the small city of Cottonwood, and is an easy 20-25 minute drive from Sedona. Jerome is known to be haunted and for good reason - plenty of people died here when the town was an active mining town. The most well known haunted place in town is Haunted Hamburger. Although they are known for their burgers, since I’ve cut out all meat for the last 4 years, I have the cook replace the burger patty with a Salmon steak.

No matter what you get, Haunted Hamburger serves up incredible food you can enjoy while looking north to Sedona and enjoy the entire Verde Valley. I hope everyone here has a happy and healthy 2021! !
