Is this a UFO or an umbrella over a setting sun?

A photo of a beautiful sunset (Photo by @AdamGT )

A photo of the same sunset from the same position at a diferent moment in time with a UFO (Photo by @AdamGT )

A zoomed in photo of the same sunset shortly after from the same position with the UFO in another position (Photo by @AdamGT )

The closing phases of the sunset the UFO has disappeared (Photo by @AdamGT)

These are original snaps, not touched up or Photoshoped in any way. The UFO caught me by surprise…At first I thought it was a beach umbrella that perhaps blew away in the wind…but on closer inspection it doesn’t look like a beach umbrella!!! It can’t possibly be a bird, it’s just so massive in size!!! It moves its position, and looks like it changes in shape ever so slightly. Do you have any idea on what this mysterious thing above the setting sun could be?

Hello dear @Aruni - Thanks for NOT Merging this post in the Global post.

The reason being, this photo has a twist…

Also,

Can can I place a humble request in front of you?

Some times, the suggestions from few of the Moderators becomes superfluous - AdamGT being a Level LG, and also a very active LG, although the suggestions you pointed are valuable - but to me, it is not fitting well.

With close to 3,000 Posted Messages and gained over 6,000 Kudos, … do we need to waste time by typing the information, a Level 10 LG may now?

If I am you, once I see a Level 10 LG, I will be careful to pass a comment… I will also think, whether my words can hurt him too…

I sincerely request you kindly treat my view in the right spirit only - please.

Thank you very much for understanding me rightly.

My dear friend, @AdamGT I am drained to give you a better answer than what you have suggested. I have taken the photo to a larger, high resolution screen to get more details - there can be few more similar comments - but what exactly is the object is not clear…

Hello @TravellerG

Yes I do think that @Aruni realized that my photo, while of a sunset, is a photo with a twist and for this reason she did not move it into the more general post about sunsets and for this I am most grateful to her. However, as she brought the general sunset post to my attention, I then went ahead and posted one of the photos I took of the very same sunset. Actually, it was during the moment that I was taking the photo of the beautiful sunset that the “umbrella” suddenly appeared so of course I kept on clicking. It is interesting that you enlarged the photo to try to determine what this “umbrella” is. I found another one of my clicks which shows the “umbrella” or UFO even larger so maybe this might help. I have added to second photo of this UFO to my original post and I’ve also added UFO to the post title because that is what it is, an Unidentifiable Flying Object. In the second photo it appears much large compared to the sun but of course the sun is some 93 million miles away. Note that we now have 3 photos of this sunset taken on the same day and successively at the same time from the same position, that is I haven’t moved. Also, in my photo of this same sunset I posted in the general sunset post there is no UFO but then in the photos here there is this UFO but it seems to be moving so is seen in different positions relative to the sun. Perplexing!!!

LOL this great @AdamGT not a lens flare 4 sure in your case. What this is…NFID, I love the umbrella theory!

If it’s a UFO it doesn’t look really sophisticated so i see no imminent danger, think we’re safe. Do you believe in aliens and if so will they look like ET or ALF?

But it was too big to be an umbrella, anyway far bigger than the biggest beach umbrella I’ve ever seen and it seemed to just keep dancing around the sun and it seemed to move around at high speed and then by the time I tried to switch from stills to movie it just flew away at high speed into the horizon and disappeared, So what is it? A while back @TravellerG had a close look at the photos and couldn’t work it out either! WHat do you think it is? What’s NFID? Also, what’s a lens flare?

Hi @AdamGT Not sure if I can tell here about NFID but a hint might work No F*ckin ID.
I explained Lens flare at your question. So what about ET or ALF?

I googled and the best I found was National Foundation for Infectious Diseases! So maybe it is a UFO @Erik_van_den_Ham ?

 Make me a believer @AdamGT what area did you take the pictures? Was it somewhere around 51?

Yes, I very much I remember our interactions with the moderator.

I have just one more questions - Have you seen it with your naked eyes? friend @AdamGT

We tried this ‘subject’ for a while in Feb…

We could not get head & tail - have you any better guess, dear @Erik_van_den_Ham ?

I’m still in dark…

PS:

I have revisited all the photos again, yesterday… & checked with Google too… No more info from my side…

:+1:

Hi, friend @Erik_van_den_Ham

ET or ALF - No idea… saw few comments on Google.

51? Is that an area? I photographed it in Middle Park, Melbourne, Australia. I checked all news reports at the time and there was no reported sighting of a UFO in the area so I’m perplexed about it.

Hello dear friend @TravellerG

Yes I saw it with my own eyes and my friend who was with me at the time also saw it. It moved quite fast and seemed to change shape but perhaps this was because as it was moving we may have seen different sides of it.

Yes @AdamGT and it’s pretty famous too Area 51 scroll down to**: UFO and other conspiracy theories**
But OK that was not so as it was Australia

Hi @TravellerG don’t you know ET…the Extra-Terrestrial? Or ALF (an acronym for: Alien Life Form),

OH… You & your friend saw with your naked eye… so for sure it is not a lens glare…

Then what it can be???

Whenever I remember about this point, I used to scan… my mind used to wonder…

It still remains an unsolved problem -

Thanks for your responses, dear @AdamGT
