Is there any process to apply for the Google gifts/perks?

I reached Local Guide level 8, Still I didn’t get any gifts/perks from google.

I heard that, google map gives a pair of t-shirt and cap or socks for local guide level 5 above.

There is no process for applying for a reward. The Local Guides program is a voluntary program and is all about helping each other with our contributions. There are some rewards, given from time to time as a ‘‘thank you’’ from Google for your quality contributions, however, there isn’t a promised reward for participating or reaching a certain level. You can read more about it in this article. I also recommend that you check this discussion where you will find some of the reasons for being a Local Guide.

To maximize your chances of being eligible for a future reward opportunity, continue to add high quality contributions to Google Maps and make sure to update your email preferences.

And since you are new here, I’d like to welcome you and propose this thread that will help you get familiar with the forum. You can also introduce yourself in our monthly section and meet others from the community.

I have reached level 7 as a local guide in Google maps but I didn’t get any certificate or gifts or goodies for Google maps or local guide can you please help me out
