Introduce Yourself — September 2019

Hi everyone! Welcome to Local Guides Connect. Please take a moment to introduce yourself to our community.

As “Introduce Yourself” threads can be lengthy, we start a new one each month and lock past threads. You can check past threads, like August’s, to see who recently joined and where they’re from (simply search for “Introduce Yourself”). If you’re new, please use this thread to post your “I’m new” or “Hello world” posts. We’ll merge any posts we find elsewhere with this thread to keep things organized.

I’ll kick off this month’s introductions.

1.Name: Katya (but my friends call me Kate)

2.Location: Sofia, Bulgaria

3.What I love about being a Local Guide: It’s really exciting to be a Local Guide! Being part of a growing community like Connect with people with so many different nationalities and speaking with a great variety of Local Guides from all around the globe, is an exceptional opportunity to learn about unique cultures and to develop my knowledge and skills while sharing with others.

4.My favorite thing to explore: I like to explore practically everything. I like to be close to water when I’m in nature. I love art and historical places, as well as exotic places and islands. When visiting a new place for me it’s interesting to see what the local people do for a living, what they like to eat, how they celebrate their holidays, what are their traditions, and in general, what makes their culture special to the world.

5.Fun Fact about me: I like travelling, taking photos and having fun with my family and friends as much as I like eating chocolate. I also enjoy cycling, reading and cooking, but you don’t want to hear me singing

I like to help the same moms as I do. It is very important to know the places where you can go with your children for dinner.
And more importantly, can you take a pram with you.

Hi, my name is Kim Bo Geun.
No matter how you got in here, it’s so nice to see you.
I believe in fate!

I’m drinking iced americano at the cafe.

BTW… I don’t need a straw.

Aslan Coffee

You can call me “Po.” I turned on my first blog to start with the idea of posting this.

Internet has been developed since long time ago, but I think I came to the Internet very late.

When I was young, I moved to Busan and Ulsan.

As a result, the only way to communicate with friends was to meet and break up in school.

I had a hard time getting close to people because I was small and I was bullying a lot and my personality was introverted.

Maybe that’s why it was fun to hang out with my friends, but it’s always like I’m walking around. I think it’s a good thing if you think about it now.

On the contrary, I think it was an opportunity to learn my values more quickly.

Go around alone a lot Bonnie, when I was in elementary school, I had fun watching salamanders and frogs in the back mountain. I ate raspberry and it was so sweet and sweet.

The memory that I remember impressing me is that I raised a yellow chick in front of elementary school.

On a rainy day, I went out alone, grabbed the worm with wooden chopsticks, brought it to a paper cup, and fed it a lot to the chick.

The chick got big, got red, got bigger, got bigger and became a mature rooster. It was amazing and I felt the respect of life.

Despite my young age, it was so amazing.

When I was in middle school, when I first found out about the Web, I

There’s a battle net in the game Starcraft.

It’s a server where you meet a lot of users and play games.

in one’s heart

‘Oh, people over there meet and talk on the web.’ That’s it. I didn’t have the Internet at home then. (Battle net not entered…)

And then I graduated from high school, and I started playing a game called League of Legends in college.

That’s when we start chatting more.

The new world opened to me, it was so amazing.

Having a space to interact with each other is a very different way to go offline than to meet face to face and talk.

It was a peaceful world.

Growing up in nature, I felt like I was exposed to a quiet world!

I think it’s great to be able to talk to each other regardless of space, time, place, or age on the web.

Everyone can be friends.

Now I like to keep my memories of my childhood and see and enjoy them with my own eyes

I think my hand went to the camera naturally. Maybe my values are in the picture!

My blog is probably going to post pictures or video if possible.

Nice to meet you! I don’t know how this article will go, but I want you to come in and talk.

I hope to see you in the next article.

Nice to meet you.

Great to read your first blog about your life in Korea. Internet has been indeed a defining change in the way we interact.

I hope you post more pictures and videos of the country.

Good Luck.

I am glad that you are off to a great start on the platform. Since you mentioned photos and videos, I would like to tell you that this platform can only take 1000 photos from each account. As much as we all would be happy to see wonderful pictures from South Korea, we have to use that space judiciously.

I would recommend that you post some pictures per post and upload the rest to your blog/website and mention the link.

Again, welcome to the platform and I hope we see some cool pictures, stories etc from your end!

Regards from India.

3.What I love about being a Local Guide: Google Maps is a program with a huge potential, and the possibility for more and more improvements. Being a Local Guide I can be an active part on this evolution. The positive feedback that I am receiving from the other Local Guides is pushing me to do more

4.My favorite thing to explore

I like to explore historical places, as well as natural features. Italy have so many places to discover, even in my “backyard”, so I can really explore a new place almost every weekend. Venice is half an hour to home, and is always available for surprising all of us

You do not want to hear me singing too, @KatyaL

What about to build up a choir together?
