Hi everyone!
I’m Sohid Ullah from Dhaka, Bangladesh. I’m really excited to be part of the Local Guides Connect community!
I joined the Local Guides program because I truly enjoy exploring new places and helping others by sharing my experiences on Google Maps. I especially love traveling, tasting local foods from different regions, and being close to nature—whether it’s forests, seas, or peaceful natural environments.
Some of my favorite things to do include:
- Trying out traditional dishes from local eateries
- Visiting scenic places and hidden gems around the country
- Contributing to Maps by adding missing places and writing reviews to guide fellow travelers

What I Love About Being a Local Guide-
As a Local Guide, I’ve had the opportunity to share my passion for exploration and discovery with others. Having experienced the challenge of navigating unfamiliar places without guidance, I joined Google Maps as a Local Guide to help others discover hidden gems and favorite spots in their community.
I love:
- Developing new skills like photography, writing, and communication while exploring my community
- Earning badges, rewards, and recognition for my contributions
- Continuously discovering new places, trying new experiences, and staying up-to-date with local events and news.
My Favorite Thing to Explore-
Chitrakoot, a city in Madhya Pradesh, India, is a treasure trove of natural beauty, spiritual significance, and cultural heritage. I’m fascinated by:
- Kamadgiri Hills
- Mandakini River
- Waterfalls
- Sati Anusuya Temple
- Bharat Milap Temple
- Hanuman Dhara
These are just a few of the many amazing things to explore in Chitrakoot.
