3.What I love about being a Local Guide:

I enjoy being able to contribute and show people places they haven’t been to yet, and inspire them to visit them. To learn about local culture and traditions. Of course, every country has its good and bad sides.

4.My favorite thing to explore:

I like church architecture, for example.

5.Fun Fact about me:

When I go on a trip, I’m on a trip for a long time. And I lose track of time.

A landscape photo of you with a brief description.

Thank you. If you decide to visit Europe, I definitely recommend visiting Slovakia. Bratislava is the main city. Košice is the second largest city. Slovakia is a small country with a population of 5 million. Slovakia is beautiful. https://www.visitbratislava.com/ Experience the lively city | Visit Košice

Hi @anon94361507

I have moved it to the ongoing monthly welcome discussion.

Welcome to Connect! Just to let you know, I merged your topic to Introduce Yourself — December 2025 where you can meet fellow Local Guides.

Does anyone have any recommendations for guided tours in Ha Long Bay or Hanoi in Vietnam?

@deakincameron

I usually use the Klook app to find tours.

Welcome @Prahladram

@MortenCopenhagen I simply shared the link to the page where the relevant topic is located, and mentioned that you could introduce yourself there. What’s wrong with that? Technically, I don’t have the authority to move a topic anyway.

Hii! I’m @Anandhu_7 (Anandhu P.J) from Thiruvananthapuram ,Kerala, India :india:.I’m a Local guide level 6. The things which led me to be a local guide was whenever I visited new places, I felt that small but important details were often missing on Google Maps—things like parking tips, best visiting time, or real experiences. That motivated me to start contributing by sharing honest reviews, photos, and useful insights to help others plan.I love exploring local spots such as parks, temples, shopping areas, cafes, and tourist attractions. To explore places that reflect local culture excites me more and also enjoy visiting popular destinations and sharing it with you guys :blush:.The fun fact about me is enjoying discovering new places and capturing my experiences through photos and reviews. Becoming more active as a Local Guide has been a rewarding experience, and for me it’s happy to help others with reliable information in map could be the best I could gave them.

Nice to meet you, fellow Local Guides!

Looking forward to connecting with you all :waving_hand::heart:

Hi @Anandhu_7 Welcome to the Local Guides Connect community. I really relate to your story about missing important details like parking tips sharing those ‘small’ insights is exactly what makes our contributions so useful for others. As a Local Guide from Indonesia, I also love exploring cafes and local food and culture. Looking forward to seeing your photos and reviews from Kerala!
