What led you to become a Local Guide: I’ve always been drawn to the stories behind places. I started sharing reviews to help fellow explorers find those specific, “off-the-beaten-path” details that make a visit truly memorable.
My favorite thing to explore: I’m a hunter for hidden gems—think quiet heritage museums, ancient monuments, and old-world cafes that serve a legendary cup of coffee.
Fun fact about me: I’m a bit of a “library scout.” I often judge a place by its “readability”—if the atmosphere allows me to get lost in a book, it’s a winner in my eyes! I try to keep my official ratings neutral, but if a café has the perfect lighting and quiet for a few chapters, it secretly gets a gold star from me. Like Luana, I’m joining the Connect party a little late, but I’m excited to finally be here!

Greetings from geoKorea Song – A Geographer’s Journey in South Korea
Hi everyone,
I am pleased to introduce myself as geoKorea Song, joining this community from South Korea.
I have dedicated the past 47 years to the study of Geography, with a particular focus on Physical Geography and Toponymy. For over two decades, I also had the privilege of training future educators, always striving to treat my students with the utmost respect—a value I believe is the foundation of any healthy society.
As a geographer, I find great joy in exploring and documenting natural scenery. During my field trips, I capture numerous photographs to record the essence of the land. I share these visual records on Google Maps and also run a YouTube channel to document my geographical journeys.
Rather than seeking personal recognition, I find fulfillment in observing the world through a geographical lens and sharing meaningful insights about the places around us. I look forward to engaging in thoughtful and respectful exchanges with all of you.
