lets-celebrate #mahavir jayanti

Mahaveer Jayanti is one of the most significant festivals for the Jain community, celebrated to honor the birth of Lord Mahavira, the 24th and last Tirthankara of Jainism.
Born in 599 BCE in present-day Bihar, Lord Mahavira dedicated his life to spreading the message of non-violence (Ahimsa), truth, non-possessiveness, and compassion toward all living beings. Mahaveer Jayanti usually falls in March or April and is marked by processions, temple visits, and acts of charity.

Jains are followers of Jainism, an ancient Indian religion that emphasizes a path of non-violence and spiritual liberation through ethical living, meditation, and renunciation.
Jainism advocates for the respect of all life forms and is known for its strict vegetarianism and environmental consciousness.

The Jain community is widely respected for its deep commitment to non-violence, philanthropy, and education.

Despite being a small religious group in terms of population, Jains have made notable contributions to business, social reform, and cultural preservation in India and abroad.
Their temples and architectural marvels, and are revered for their intricate craftsmanship and spiritual ambiance.

Mahaveer Jayanti serves as a reminder of the timeless values Lord Mahavira taught, which continue to inspire millions today.

Thank you for the write-up about Mahavir Jayanti.

If you visited a temple on this occasion, please write about it in a new post, mentioning how you reached there, parking facilities, shoe rack, timings, accessibility for the disabled like wheelchair facility, etc, and any nearby places to eat or stay overnight if required, and all such useful information for other local guides. That is what the Connect forum is primarily meant for.

The thing is that my brother live abroad and i have asked him to send me some astonishing photos for some really popular places

I very well knew that he will send me some photos that he clicked
