I'm the only one who sees my comment.

Hello, in order to evaluate the service I received from a local business, I left a good comment about that business on Google Maps. My goal was to convey my experience to other people. However, neither the business owner nor others can see this comment. It only seems to me. What should I do? I deleted it and reposted it didn’t work. The comment appears to have been published 2 weeks ago, but it only appears to me.

Hi @aslan4789 , first of all, welcome to Connect! I see this is your very first post here. So congratulations on that too!

First of all, as you are new here, I would recommend you to read the 5 core values of Connect to know this forum better. I also suggest you to go through Your guide to Connect and 14 helpful tips for using Connect

Connect prefers originality. Check out this cool article, that will help you understand how to follow original content guidelines on Connect. Here are some guidelines and tips for uploading photos on Connect. Hope you find these helpful.

While replying to any comment, remember to mention the person who you are replying to. To mention a person, you need to use the @ sign before their Connect ID. For example, if you reply to my comment, you need to mention me in your comment, or else I will never know what you wrote for me unless I come back to this post again. So, to mention me, all you have to do is type @ special character and then type SoniaK, i.e. my Connect ID. That’s how I mentioned you at the beginning of this post.

Lastly, don’t forget to Introduce Yourself here. You will find a lot of other fellow local guides in that post. Hope you enjoy your time here.

As for your reviews not being seen by others, there might be some technical error or something. Below is the screenshot of your Maps profile that shows your review posted 2 months ago. Is this the one you are talking about or there is anything after that? Maybe @MoniDi or @DeniGu can suggest something.

Happy Connect-ing!

Hello @aslan4789

Some users find their reviews get hidden if the photos contravene any of the rules. Try re-posting with no photos attached to the review.

Hi @aslan4789

I checked your profile and saw that you have added only 3 reviews. Currently, all of them are public.

Cheers

Morten

@MortenCopenhagen

I viewed it from the incognito tab and only 2 of my comments are visible.

@SoniaK Yes, I added a picture of the comment I mentioned. This comment does not appear.

@tony_b I’m really happy with the service I received, they tried hard and I don’t want to add it without a picture.

You are correct. 1 is hidden.

When I saw this I thought I saw 3 reviews. The middle one is only a rating. Sorry about that.

With so few reviews the issue could be that such profiles signals spam, so maybe you should make some more genuine reviews. That might fix it.

Cheers

Morten

So was my comment not published because there were few comments? very interesting. So how do I prove it’s not spam? Because I’m not a spam. How will I prove to the system that my experience is correct?(Interesting question, I know, but unfortunately, stupid Google system)

Try making more authentic reviews. When you have made maybe 10 or 15 test again. If you then still have issues, then please use the form called Account Investigation for contributions not visible on Google Maps if you believe that some of your contributions have been wrongfully unpublished. Keep in mind, it takes several weeks for the check to be done, and you will not be notified about the result, so I suggest you check the status of your reviews once a week or so.

Best of luck
Morten

@aslan4789 my suggestion was based on the experience of others. You could post the review, ensure it is live, then go back and add photos later.

Hello @aslan4789 ,

I just wanted to add that I relabeled your post to How-tos as it could help others while keeping Connect organized.

I am new to being a local guide.

So far I have only 1 review which is also not made public.

If your 3 reviews are too few, what hope do I have with only 1 review?
