How to write a first review on google maps

Writing a first review on Google Maps is a simple process. Here are the steps to follow:

Sign in to your Google account: In order to write a review on Google Maps, you must have a Google account. Sign in to your account by going to the Google homepage and clicking on the “Sign In” button in the top right corner of the screen.

Search for the location: Use the search bar at the top of the Google Maps page to find the location you want to review. You can search for a specific business, address, or point of interest.

Select the location: Once you have found the location, click on it to view its details.

Click on the “Write a review” button: The button can be found below the location’s name and rating.

Rate the location: Use the star rating system to rate the location from 1 to 5 stars, with 5 being the highest rating.

Write your review: In the text box provided, write your review of the location. Be specific and provide details about your experience, including what you liked and didn’t like.

Submit your review: Once you are finished writing your review, click on the “Post” button to submit it. Your review will be published on the location’s Google Maps page for others to see.

That’s it! You have successfully written your first review on Google Maps.

Hi @gyanjyoti_nath

As a friendly reminder, I would suggest that your check the guidelines for photos uploaded to Google Maps. You have uploaded 29 images of which only 19 are public. Of the 19 images all but 3 or 4 should be removed to protect your account.

Adding selfies and group photos is against the guidelines.

Let me know if you need help finding the relevant guidelines.

Cheers

Morten

Hi, @gyanjyoti_nathWelcome to Connect! If this is your first visit, you’ve come to the right place. This post will serve as a guide for everything you need to know about contributing content and engaging with the Local Guides community on Connect”. This is the first of the information that you will find in “Your guide to Connect” , the introductory Guide of the community. In there you will find all the necessary information to know how to better contribute in here.

Thanks for sharing your content. However, as mentioned by @gmapas , the content is available to everyone on the help page of Google Maps, accessible from every one of your devices.

Also I am not sure about the experience you want to share, because in fact 78 of your reviews are hidden. This makes me thinking that the focus should be on "what" to write, more then on How to write, because Google Maps is very pro-active in asking for a review, and you only have to follow what you see in the screen.

Adding in a review a copied text, or declaring that a temple is a temple, or a school is a school, or writing a review with a single lettre is not what it is expected. My tip for you is to follow your own instruction and to deeply edit ALL the reviews with copied text and the ones with useless content. All the mentioned reviews are in fact violations of the policies

I also wants to inform that, as both your post are about the same subject (reviews), I have merged them

Do you have a doubt about how to do something? The Help desk is here for you, with a long list of post with detailed indications on how to post.

Which kind of contents we share in the community? What are Connect topics? will give you an explanation
