I am pretty new to this TRAC community and just started working on road mapping. With some initial hiccups, I have started gaining some confidence for building the roads by adding and editing some of them.
You have already begun your road mapping journey on a strong and promising note, and it’s great to see your efforts getting recognized through road approvals. I had a feeling that the moment you stepped into this space, you would bring in something unique and thoughtful, and you have truly done that.
The idea of creating and saving lists for future road mapping is something a few of us have been practicing since the early days of the TRAC campaign. It’s a very effective approach to keep track of coordinates and revisit them when needed.
That said, I really appreciate you, @AjitThite, for formalizing this practice and presenting it so clearly as a tutorial for everyone. This makes it much more accessible and beneficial for the entire community.
Honestly, with the way you are contributing, it’s hard to believe you are new to road mapping. Keep up the excellent work.
Really insightful post! @AjitThite I like how you’ve shown that using lists in Google Maps isn’t just about saving places but actually building a structured approach to road mapping. ErmesT had mentioned this—and perhaps even shared a post about it—explaining how you could save your roads in this manner. At that time, I was a complete novice; I took note of their advice and followed it, though I only do so occasionally now. For the most part, I place a great deal of trust in my own sharp memory.
