Yes, I work on similar strategies. It helps me to keep track.

I guess we have to accept it and stop worrying about what we don’t have control over. This has been discussed many times; my current experience is very similar and frustrating, but my captain says to keep going, so I do. :slight_smile:

Great directions, @AjitThite! I especially like the idea of utilizing Street View to verify questionable roads. It may not be available in the remote areas, but it is quite helpful when the option is there.

Since the confirmation emails no longer link to the specific location, I also mark the dates I work in an area in the comment box. That way, when an approval comes through I can search my list for the date shown in the email.

Lastly, I suggest also starting a list of areas you’ve completed. It’s unnecessary, but it does feel good after some time to see just how many areas you’ve worked on and helped complete. I currently have 197 areas in my ‘Completed’ list. This has been years in the making, but going back to revisit and possibly see that street names have been added or that Street View is now available is a great feeling.

If there are road names on the map in the confirmation emails, I use those to do a search for the approved road, then draw more roads in the same area. Unfortunately, some of my approved roads are in areas with no place names, so there’s no way to find those easily.

Maybe that’s another point @MarcoDavoli or @SholaIB can raise next time they have opportunity to speak to someone at Google. We need the approval notifications to link directly back to the road drawn.

Street View was my observation while adding some newly drawn or missed roads in Indian towns or villages (as shown in the screenshots), and so I recommended it as a good practice before drawing if it is available.

I will do that; it’s nice to have a note of that too. Thanks.

@tony_b, yes, it’s frustrating sometimes to find the name of the location.

unfortunately we discuss this many times.
WHY in roadmapper (for those who have the access) it is possible to see the exact place?
You can learn a lot from your work if sometimes you check what you have done especially in case or “rejected”

and also is really nice to have “how many KM you have done”

I’m particular curious to know how many Km I have added to Google Mapos after circa 140.000 roads added :wink:
