Is there a way that i can upload photos from google photos or drive right to Connect without downloading them on my PC?

you can select 1 or multiple photos and share them to google maps and then it will be uploaded

Yes, you can upload photos to Connect from Google Photos or Google Drive.

To do that, please tap the camera icon. Then that will show pics from Gallery or Google photos or Google drive. Select the right one and upload.

Yes, @icecream you can upload your photos here on Connect without downloading from your Google photos album.

Hi @icecream

Uploading photos in Connect from Google Photo is possible from a mobile phone with Android, by selecting Google Photo as the source of your photo, when you are writing your post.

Uploading a photo from directly from Google Photo is however not possible on Desktop, but you can embed your photo instead. For the detailed procedure please read: Tips for Uploading Images to Connect to Stay Within Limit

Regarding Google Maps, even if not requested by you, please read this article from Google Maps Help, and select the device you are using (Desktop, Android, iOS): Add, remove, or share photos and videos

Hi @icecream

I just wanted to add that I always use Google Photos as an in-between step for uploading photos to Google Maps. It’s easier, it’s faster, and takes a lot less bandwidth to only upload photos once. And on top, you get access to some pretty cool editing tools in Google Photos.

U can download 'google photo ,app from google play store and sign up then start using google photo
