Recently, a fellow Local Guide wanted to know ‘Does anyone have tips or methods to save time selecting photos when writing reviews later, especially when Google Maps no longer prioritizes showing photos from the location at the top?’ Any Tips for Managing iPhone Photos to Make Google Maps Reviews Easier?. This request has prompted me to share my experience in simple steps.
Enable Full Access for Google Maps on Your iPhone:
Open Settings: Tap on the gear icon on your iPhone’s home screen.
What Does This Do? By granting Google Maps full access to your photos, it can intelligently identify and display relevant images for the specific location you’re reviewing. This means you’ll be able to quickly find the relevant photos to add to your review.
Edited: After tapping ‘Add a photo update,’ the relevant photos will appear at the top of the photo library for easy selection. The setting helps you select photos faster. No photos are posted without your approval.
@PrasadVR,
Does this mean that Google can access your entire camera roll, and you don’t even need to submit photos because Google will decide and take what it wants? I’m a little confused. I’m including a few others which may offer a little more insight. @tony_b@Rednewt74@MortenCopenhagen@TerryPG
