I often travel and take photos and videos at various locations, but due to time constraints, I don’t write reviews while traveling. When I have free time to write reviews, weeks may have passed since the visit. The problem I face is that it takes a lot of time to find photos of the place because Google Maps (on iPhone) only allows me to access the Recent Album when uploading pictures. I can’t select other albums, so I end up sliding through pages to find the photos I need.
Does anyone have tips or methods to save time selecting photos when writing reviews later, especially when Google Maps no longer prioritizes showing photos from the location at the top?
Not sure if this is helpful for you @gizmoz, but since you asked for methods:
I don’t rely on the Google albums. Instead I keep track of all my photos on my PC using a database which also includes information where I did post each photo in Google Photos or Maps or elsewhere (e.g. Facebook). In my opinion, Google doesn’t provide any tools to manage our own digital assets.
I use Daminion since several years, but there are also free solutions such as Digikam.
Hello, @gizmoz , I am sharing my experience on iPhone 13. To view photos on your iPhone related to a specific Point of Interest (POI) , please enable the following settings:
iPhone Settings > Google Maps > Photos > Full Access
This setting will allow iPhone photos to display relevant photos for the selected location.
Please take a look at my topic;
