How to Display Photos in Large Size in a Connect Post

We like posting photos and there are plenty of opportunities on LG Connect like the Photography, Food & Drink, and Travel sections.

If you are new to Local Guides Connect you may not realize how differently your photos appear to a global audience that uses different kinds of devices.
It is highly recommended that you:

  1. Post the photos in a large size.
  2. Edit the post and adjust the photo to display in a large size.

Note that these apply only when using a desktop computer.

Here are the easy steps that apply when using the LG Connect website on a desktop computer:

Editing an Existing Post

To edit an existing post,

  1. Click the three dots near the post where it also shows the Likes :blue_heart:
  2. Select Edit Message from the menu.
  3. Select the photo to edit. A palette of icons appears.
  4. Click the icon for displaying the photo in a larger size as pointed with the arrow in the image below.
  5. Click on Save Changes.

When composing a post

  1. When inserting a photo, pay attention to the drop-down list on the right-hand side.
  2. Select Large from the list.

  1. This will insert the photo to show it in a larger size in the post.

Although it is possible to click a photo in a post and view it bigger, inserting the photo in a larger size will make the photo look awesome and the post appears impressive too. I normally insert a photo of size 1600 x 1200 and set it to display Large by default.

Now that you know the steps, take some time to edit your existing posts and display the photos in a larger size.

Thanks for the useful tip @TusharSuradkar

Surprisingly, that works with HTML also, for enlarging the size.

However, The photos remain left aligned only. How to adjust the alignment?

@C_T

I agree that HTML editing gives more control over the exact size for the image using the Width and Height attributes, though the proportion should be kept taken care of when using these. The size=nn% tag also handles this safely.

When you say that the photo remains left-aligned, is it when editing a post, inserting a new image, or using HTML?

I tried all three methods and found that they were working fine.

Can you try inserting a test image in the previous reply or a new reply?

Estimado:

Saludos cordiales,
