Hi @lmj_sapph

What is the purpose of turning your phone up side down? Is it just to get the camera lens closer to the table surface? There are other solutions to consider.

Cheers

I found that there was less exposure to light when tilted. Its upto you to click a picture in your own comfort as the surroundings and exposure varies for everyone.

Also i ain’t any professional photographer. I just thought to share a trick i came across in social media and tried it which i’m still working on, yet thought to share it as my first post in Local Guides Connect. :slightly_smiling_face:

You may click your phone like a DSLR camera but it does not mean that the photo quality of a phone be like a DSLR camera quality :grinning: @lmj_sapph Phone is phone DSLR is DSLR, you cannot compare each in the field of photo quality. In the photo attached in this post, I see a lot of noise though you edited it but, I am sure if this photo was taken by a DSLR quality would have been better. Anyway, thanks for this post.

Thanks, @lmj_sapph

It makes sense. My camera has other settings also that are useful when wanting what is called bookee or narrow depth of field.

It would be really helpful if you would use the tagging tool when replying to someone here on Connect. Type @ followed by the username. Type slowly. Then we get an e-mail notification and you are more likely to get a prompt reply.

Also: Welcome to Connect. Nice to meet you!

To make you feel at home I suggest you take a look at Your Guide to Connect (it’s a quick introduction to our community) and feel free to introduce yourself here.

When you have questions, try using the search field at the top first. Then check the Help desk documents and What are Connect topics before asking a new question in the How-to section.

Hi @MortenCopenhagen

Thanks for replying and suggestions.

Hi @MukulR ,

Thanks for your comment.

Its true we cannot compare the phone’s photo quality with a DSLR cam. I am person who scrolls through social media and wonder how come everyone’s pics look so amazing and i always feels consious to post any pics. I always want to have a DSLR cam to clicks pics like them. So i opt to downloading every apps i could find for pic edits and seems like the two apps i mentioned were pretty good to handle.

I dont have much idea regarding clicking pictures and to explain abt a picture but i always have photography as one of my favorite hobby.

I am not a photographer @lmj_sapph . Those were my general comments. Thanks for your nice explanation. I think you should change category of this post from How-tos to Photography or Local Stories. Thanks.

That’s a nice tip @lmj_sapph as you have also shared a photo of the result of using this tip.

I am definitely going to try.
