Hello @user_not_found ,

Thank you for sharing this beautiful post. It seems as if there is a mirror reflecting, but in reality it’s the building itself. What an amazing optical illusion! I’m a huge lover of all kind of architecture and I really enjoyed looking at this picture. Hope to visit India one day and see all this beauty live.

Do you know if there are any organized tours in order to visit the most significant places of that part of the county?

You must visit heritage city Ahmedabad

Hi @VasT

I visited 4 times and it is very beautiful each and every wall even steps also. If you see this stepwell from front side then it is like someone’s house. Because it includes balcony and terrace also.

Thank you for your prompt response @user_not_found . Keep up sharing!

Rudabai stepwell aka Adalaj stepwell represents the strength, grit and undying love of Rudabai for her husband. She accepted the marriage proposal of Mohammed Begada after her husband Rana Veer Singh’s defeat/death on the condition that this half built stepwell started by her husband be completed. Mohammed Begada accepted the condition, and on completion of the stepwell, Rudabai jumped into it. All she wanted was to fulfill her husband’s dream. This stepwell is a fine blend of different architectural styles. The temperature inside the stepwell is 3 - 4 degrees less than outside.
