Half Moon Beach is a popular public beach in Saudi Arabia that is administered by the Eastern Province Governorate. The beach has a coastline and is located on the eastern side of the inlet. Half Moon Beach is a perennial family favorite for locals and residents living in the Eastern Province due to the shallow, calm waters of the Arabian Gulf, breathtaking landscape, white beaches, and free public playgrounds with rides, slides, and a bouncy castle.
The beach is located in the Eastern Province, just a short drive from Dammam. The term half moon refers to the crescent-shaped beach that spans for kilometers, the clean sand, and the soothing, clear water, all of which make it ideal for swimming and playing on the beach and in the sea. The beach has several prefabricated shelters that give pleasant shade, as well as showers. People will love riding on the dunes in a beach buggy or surfing on the beach in a boat. People love swimming at this beach because it is so relaxing. There are comfy couches, showers, restrooms, lockers, and restaurants serving light refreshments.
Because of the large number of people who visit this beautiful beach, it is becoming polluted with materials such as plastic bottles, plastic bags, plastic straws, fishing gear, cigarette filters, dead blubber jelly fishes, surgical masks, and many other items that frequently cause environmental degradation. I wish the people would take extra steps to maintain this beach clean by disposing of rubbish in the right trash containers, which are many at this site. Furthermore, the beach administration authority should begin enforcing penalties on those who are guilty for damaging such a magnificent site by their inappropriate conduct.
