sfogliatella napoletana is always a great treat! Pastiera napoletana is a must try for sure!! It’s very interesting that shepherd’s pie is #1 in the US…

I would love to taste shepherd’s pie and teriyaki chicken

I am NOT a foodie. I don’t wish to be a wet blanket but I’m really sick of all this food stuff being shoved at me. Just because I’m American doesn’t mean I’m a corpulent layabout obsessed with food. I eat to survive, not for recreation. Yes, the few times that I have occasion to eat out I write a review. I also review stores, Shoppes, parks and services. Thankfully I’m not harassed on those fronts.

It’s Google Maps, not the food court.

Chica morada is a Peruvian beverage. I thought it was weird to be this popular in Brazil since neither me nor anybody that I know know this drink, but okay.

I live in Brazil and NEVER HEARD ABOUT Chica Morada. Are u sure it’s popular?

Everything looks so delicious. :yum:

Very good dishes

Really cool post,

I love try new dishes and exploring new restaurants in town!

Oat milk is the new go-to in our house now. We cut out most dairy a few years ago, but finding alternatives for baking was a bit trickier. Oat milk seems to work freaking wonders, it tastes better (IMO) than cow milk and it’s way better for the environment.

Plant milk and meat substitutes are the present and successors of animal products. Go vegan!

Nagyon tetszetősek ezek az ételek. Biztos finomak is.

 Desculpe, mas ninguém conhece a chicha no Brasil.

Shepherd’s Pie is my favorite and I’ve made it many different ways. Whole 30 Shepard’s pie with sweet potato, meatless with beans and maple syrup, and the traditional hearty dish with some wine in the mix!

Thank you for sharing about the recipes

Regarding Sheperd’s Pie, as the top searched recipe in the United States, I find that very interesting. The reason being, I recently made the beef version of Sheperd’s Pie (Cottage Pie) and have a helping leftover for work. The recipe I Googled, was from https://whatagirleats.com/shepherds-pie/

Living in the Pacific Northwest, the weather and much of the scenery in the winter is very similar to Scotland, the dish is comforting on cold, wet days or nights. It’s easy to make, not very expensive ingredients and freezes well. There are a few variations to making the dish, but it is basically browned ground lamb or beef, some sweated chopped vegetables such as onion, carrots, mushrooms and green peas with savory herbs like thyme and rosemary, a touch of beef stock or broth and some flour slurry for a little gravy, along with salt and pepper for the filling. Then topped with creamy mashed potatoes and cheddar cheese in a baking dish, then baked until the filling is bubbling and the cheese has melted.

There are many recipes for Sheperd’s pie with slightly different variations of what I’ve described. The first time I made Sheperd’s pie, the recipe I used was from the 1997 version of The Joy of Cooking. I make Sheperd’s or Cottage pie at least three to four times every winter when I want a simple and comforting meal that satisfies my heritage.
