Hi Everybody ,

Today I will Discuss very powerful feature on google map called offline Maps.

This Feature is available for mobile application on android and iOS .

Pros:-

  • saves mobile phone data.
  • faster navigation .
  • google maps works even when no internet .
  • works perfectly fine without the mobile sim in the phone .
  • beneficial when you are not sure while traveling long distance mobile signal quality will be reliable or not .

Cons:-

  • Stores Space in mobile Phone
  • needs to update every 30 days to keep using .

Steps :-

  1. Open Google Maps Application in Mobile .
  2. Tap 3 Bars at the left side of the screen and open menu .
  3. Select Offline maps .
  4. Tap " SELECT YOUR OWN MAP "
  5. Drag and Zoom the required Offline map.
  6. Tap on " DOWNLOAD "

At this Place it will ask whether to download using mobile network or download over Wi-Fi network .

  • Repeat Step 4-5-6 if you wish to download offline map for more than one place .
  • to view your offline maps and space they consume repeat steps 1-2-3 .
