Hi , Google Local Guides all over the world !

I think It’s been years since the last time (I think before COVID), The Google Connect Live event was in 2019. [I think the event was cancelled in 2020 due to COVID outbreak] But, since that time, I haven’t heard about similar events. Why don’t Google Maps organize similar ones (International or even regional) ? It’s a good opportunity for culture exchange and socializing.

I’m open to discuss this matter with all colleagues and moderators here.

Unfortunately, I haven’t noticed this topic at the right time, they say the closing time for the form was in January.

Correct. Hopefully, there will be a chance in 2027 also.

Could more meetings be arranged in 2026 or not ?

There are two types and of meetings. Connect Live events organized by Googlers and Meetups organized by Local Guides. The second type you can organize. Or find one here:

The big difference is whether Google will pay for travel and a hotel.
