Hey everyone,
does anyone have any info about Google Crowdsource ? i have reached 18 level in it but haven’t got single mail since i started the journey.

Nice to E-meet you here on connect. This is the official site of local guides here. Although I contribute on crowdsource as well and am on level 29 !!! The E-mails comes periodically not always.
To receive Emails and notifications from the crowdsource community,
- Please open the crowdsource app.
- Click on your profile pics.
- Click on crowdsource settings
- The 4th option on that drop down is E-mail and push notifications.
- Kindly enable all. Hopefully that will solve your issue.

Google Crowdsource is a different program, and it is not related to the Local Guides program even if they use some content created by us.
The notification on their program are sent through push notifications on your mobile and/or via email, depending on your settings on the App
Connect is a place to get to know other Local Guides, plan activities, share your stories, give feedback and more. We ask that posts on Connect stay on-topic.
What are Connect topics? will help you to understand what are the topics of the community.

All were on since I created the account. I get you point too, that Crowdsource send mail occasionally. But I haven’t got single mail yet since is started. Not even welcome mail for joining the problem. I thought I will get it when I will keep on increasing my level. So I keep on increasing my mail. And I thought I will get L10 hangout mail but still I didn’t. Rn I am in L20. If I won’t get any mail and any Praise from Crowdsource team how can I motivate myself to continue

And i was suggested to turn this on,
This is turned on since the account is created. But for being sure in turned it off and again turned it on. But still didn’t got any mail…
I send feedback tho…
And mail too in crowdsource-community@google.com
But still didn’t get any response…
Can you guys tell me, what should i do now ?
I didn’t get any platform of crowdsource like this one of local guide so i posted it here.
Hope you guys will help me now. Have mentioned you with lots of hope.

As per your suggestion given on previous post, i send feedback and mail but didn’t get any response. If you know anyone who is connected with that problem, please mention him or his mail if . It will mean alot for me.

I did. I found Many groups but all of those groups are dead now (unactive). I messaged on official Page of crowdsource. But didn’t get any response and page also seems unactive.

You won’t get any real rewards, only badges, invites to community events etc. You can contact crowdsource-help@google.com but they will respond as others did over here. Another website you can check is https://crowdsource.google.com/about you will find info about the blog, community etc. over there.
Concerning motivation questions: if the rewards are your motivations, I think you will be disappointed. If you are happy with the fact you can help to improve Google’s products, then you can see the results of your work at the long term.
also for @TerryPG : If you e.g. would be of help for the blind people, try to play with smart camera, do handwriting related tasks, contribute pictures with good tags (when you contribute pictures of handwriting, tell in the tags it’s handwriting, which language, type of text like reminder, note, shopping list, …) Don’t contribute private data like adress, phone numbers, … If you speak and understand several languages, you can contribute to translate and validate translations, … Instead of focussing on rewards try to focus on contributing good and correct info while making fun. Hope this all helps.

@dipen_dauliya I sent you a private message containing the invite code. There are also other methods to help the blind:
1: do point verification tasks: indicate if the middle of the object is indicated correctly or not;
2: contribute handwritings to image capture: take pictures of handwritings that don’t include adresses, phone numbers … sensitive info. Use tags to tell it is a handwriting, which language, which type of text (holiday card, shopping list, reminder, …). I wish I could do it myself too, but as I can’t see what I have in focus and how to get things in focus Image capture isn’t the most accessible subject for me. Even with smart camera I often have objects incorrectly in focus (partially visible vegetables etc. on pictures) I’m not the most valable person to feed image recognition models.
