Hello local guides Greetings to all of you I hope everyone is well Why aren’t there garbage points everywhere? Where we can find it easily There will be a direct view of its condition, whether it is full or empty, which will make things much easier for the company. Also, to have a prior view of our environmental condition, it is just an idea that I might do.Greetings to all of you
Oui je trouve que c’est une très bonne idée. Où j’habite en Suisse, on peu retrouver ses informations sur le site des villes
What do you mean by garbage points @Omarfahd? In my country we switched to household collection about 50 years ago, rather than communal collection points in neighbourhoods.
Garbage
Or Recycling drop-off location
, if you are not finding it on Map add it when you find it anywhere in your country . You will ,Get green points for adding these location. Green point is nothing this is when you add somthing on google map and help to conserv our Environment it will be like green points. Even longer here, as far back, as I can remember @tony_b. But it seems to be highly depending on the country and even the city. When we lived in Rome 12 years ago, I was surprised, there was no garbage collection at the house, instead we had to go the next square to find containers, However, in other Italian cities and possibly even other quarters of Rome, there is household collection.
But as @RaviSharma111 said, it is our responsibility to mark the collection places on maps.
Thanks for asking, @Omarfahd
As mentioned by @RaviSharma111 , you can add them in Google Maps as Recycling Drop Off Collection, helping in this way others to find them.
@tony_b , the choice to have recycling drop off locations or household collections can vary from place to place, depending on how the Local Administrations chose to manage waste collection.
One of the most common objection against household collection is that in some place this is a procedure that is difficult to manage. However in Venice (the city with no roads) household collection has been activated too, and it works well
The garbage collectors use trolleys to collect the garbage door to door, and then transfer it to the boats.
Thanks for the insights @WilfriedB @ErmesT. Unfortunately, there’s no structured separation of garbage into different recycling streams here, so it’s just mixed garbage collected directly from the homes at the moment.
All supermarkets and other retailers selling drinks here are mandated by law to accept empty bottles for a small refund, but I don’t think marking every supermarket as a garbage point is what @Omarfahd means by his suggestion.
I’ll certainly join this project if our government ever takes the garbage situation up to a more modern and environmentally friendly level.
Is the garbage landfilled @tony_b ?
That’s would be bad.
In Treviso right now they reduced the number of containers that we have to use at home, because the local company that’s responsible for collection and management copyrighted a device to separate and wash different types of recyclable waste.
So that’s not by chance if this year we’ve got the Green Leaf for 2025 in the EU:
Yes, that’s correct. Quite a controversial issue, but no viable alternatives have yet been created.
