Food that feeds the soul

Remember that time when you had a terrible cold and you would come home to your mom’s chicken soup? How did you feel after that warm delicious homemade dish? Yes, I felt restored too and now as an adult I crave for places that will make me feel pampered, excited and surprised.

Finding good places where to eat go beyond professional photography found in restaurant’s webpages and even further than reading the menu online… nowadays having people’s opinion and experience stories is extremely valuable since sometimes only someone who has lived it can truly tell you if it is worth it, if the ambiance is truly captivating and if your time and money will be well spent.

I became a local guide with the intention of leading people towards great places where they can feed their soul and have a lifetime memoir (and also avoiding a place that will only be a decieving experience). Then when I started getting the numbers on how many people had found my opinion useful it became fuel to continue.

I consider finding new delicious places where to eat a treasure hunt that must be shared! Sometimes small businesses have no economic power to go out there and create great marketing campaigns and so on, so knowing my opinion will help them get more business and grow means the world to me since I am a chef and have lived myself the struggle of knowing I have a great product and not being able to communicate this to the world.

I have also lived the other side of the coin where big businesses catch your attention while traveling and some may not be as good as they say but they continue to be quite famous, while there are some street food spots that I would give awards to and nobody knows them but local foodies. Sharing is caring and this jewels must be found! Both for owners and consumers sakes!

So let’s keep contributing and thus having a great excuse to keep trying new places and eating fantastic dishes
